Winnies at Manayunk
Talking about food, I must say, Puerto Rican, American and Chinese food are my favorite (I am Puerto Rican, liking my island food its on my veins). When I want to eat real American food I always go to Manayunk to my favorite restaurant called Winnies.
I have tried almost the entire menu and I have to say that I like most of it. There some exceptions in the menu, but in general everything is good. One of my favorite meal is the waffle with chicken, this meal have his breakfast version, but adding a poached egg in the top of the chicken. The turkey pot pie is also fantastic, and also the cheesestake with poached lobster. I cried for the cheesetake, I was full and did not finish my sandwich, the waitress put it in a box, and I forgot the box in the restaurant! Was too late when I remembered it.
The service is good most of the time, last time I went there my waitress was not too caring, but I guessed that he was new, and needed experience. I can not judge the restaurant for one person, also when in the past I always had good experiences with my waitress.
What make this restaurant my favorite one? Is the food, the variety in the menu. The prizes are not expensive, parking is easy to get in the parking slots near the restaurant. If you are planning in the weekend go out for dinner I certainly suggest you to go to Winnies.
